Mayo is a limited edition print of 5 edition in black that I have produced from my Year of Printmaking. Continue from my Makinghome concept and continue exploring our habits at home, domestic ritual and consumption.
While working with print, I became more aware of my own repeat habits instead of study the general public, I became more awar of what is going on in my own home. During stressful times, I ignore my daily tasks like cleaning and food shopping, cooking - all grown up stuff like avoidance, just wanna to stay in bed for the full day and not being a mother, artist or a carer. I have noticed my husband who was picking up my avoidance, my chorus, started to stress eat - consume.
But if we look at the wilder circle outside of home, we share the same habits, either we stress eat, stress shop or collect things and habits we do not need - it's a global issue we have on the planet at the moment and it goes beyong eating a jar of mayo a week in my household.
I would like viewer to take a closer look at your own consumption, whether is food, habits, digital, or metal load we take on.
