Chinese Ink Painting 'Tea Time' - Origional Art Work

This work is part of a series of four paintings created during my time studying in Taiwan 2024.

It depicts a familiar and much-loved subject—iced black tea in a carton—set in contrast with a traditional ceramic teapot. The pairing reflects a meeting of everyday contemporary life and long-held tea traditions.

Painted on gold-speckled Xuan paper, the surface adds a subtle richness, catching light and bringing a quiet sense of ornament to the composition.

Through this contrast of materials and objects, the work explores the overlap between past and present, and the small, personal rituals that sit between them.

Size: approx 170 × 240 mm

Material: Ink on Xuan paper (natural fibre). Due to the nature of the material, slight texture, buckling, or creasing may occur as part of the process. Works are sold unframed and can be flattened/stretched and framed on request with additional cost. Each piece carries my red seal.
