Chinese Ink Painting 'Meadowsweet 2' - Origional Art Work

This work continues my observation of Irish wild plants, focusing on meadowsweet found along my daily walk by Murphy’s Farm. 

Often overlooked as a common roadside plant, meadowsweet reveals a quiet delicacy when observed closely. Its clustered blooms and gentle movement in the landscape speak to the softness within what is often considered “wild” or unmanaged nature.

Encountered repeatedly along the same path, it becomes part of a familiar rhythm of walking and noticing. The work reflects this ongoing relationship with place—where everyday surroundings slowly build into a visual language through repetition, attention, and care.

Two paintings were doen for this beautiful wild flower.

Size: approx 300 × 300 mm

Material: Ink on Xuan paper (natural fibre). Due to the nature of the material, slight texture, buckling, or creasing may occur as part of the process. Works are sold unframed and can be flattened/stretched and framed on request with additional cost. Each piece carries my red seal.
