Chinese Ink Painting 'Itish Dancers' - Origional Art Work
This painting captures two young girls Irish dancing, with a focus on the intricate Celtic design of their dresses.
The movement of traditional dance is balanced by the stillness of pattern—ornamentation that carries heritage, repetition, and identity. The dresses become almost sculptural, their Celtic motifs echoing older visual languages of knotwork and continuity.
Rather than the performance itself, the work centres on detail: the constructed surface, the rhythm within the pattern, and the way tradition is held in cloth, line, and ornament.
Size: approx 300 x 300 mm
Material: Ink on Xuan paper (natural fibre). Due to the nature of the material, slight texture, buckling, or creasing may occur as part of the process. Works are sold unframed and can be flattened/stretched and framed on request with additional cost. Each piece carries my red seal.
