This work began with two places held in the same gaze—Killarney Lake and a wind farm, layered into a single horizon.

The stillness of water meets the quiet repetition of turbines, and the landscape shifts between what is natural and what is placed. In this overlap, the land is no longer fixed. It becomes something we pass through, something we borrow for a moment in time.

We arrive, we build, we leave traces behind. Nature holds it all, unchanged in its presence, while we remain only guests—moving across the surface of things, shaping and being shaped in return.

“Borrowed Horizon” reflects on this fragile exchange between human presence and the land we temporarily inhabit.
