You Know The Rules - Fine Art Prints - Fine art test prints (only 2, no edition, not repeated)
You know the rules: in Irish households, it’s unspoken — never go to the second layer of good biscuits until the first is finished.
Opening the tin is a small ritual in itself: lifting the lid, peeking at the neatly wrapped biscuits inside, and choosing which one to taste first. Often, favourites spark playful debates — sometimes even gentle fights with siblings over the best treats. Each bite is a little moment of joy, a reminder of home and childhood.
Often gifted at Christmas, this tin celebrates more than sweets. It’s the warmth of tea shared with friends, the comforting company of loved ones, and the quiet delight of small, shared rituals. A simple tradition that brings laughter, connection, and cherished memories to life.
This collection, Making Home, began as a private act of coping and to ground an overwhelmed self. Drawing became a way to hold grief, love, and uncertainty within the rhythms of everyday Irish life. Drawing became a way to honour the quiet, extraordinary moments that shape our days — from simple rituals to the gestures of care and connection that make a home. Each piece captures the rhythm, flow, and intimacy of life lived attentively, offering a collection that is both timeless and collectible. These prints invite reflection, joy, and the appreciation of the small details that enrich our lives, making them a meaningful addition to any home or gallery collection.
