I have always facinated with prints and even during my Crawford Art College days I have combined my sculpture work with prints and bookmaking. I am most looking forward to the connection with metal plates and paper. After busy seasons of jewellery tradings, I've long for slow making with experimentation again. So I signed up for a year long course with Cork Printmakers since start of this year. We are half way through the couse and very glad three of my screenprints were featured in Ironbridge printmaking competition catalogue in July!
I am having a wonderful time learning and having fun again. Love the texture of plates after being etched and the un-predictable and revealing is exciting too, from both the plates and inking onto paper. After graduating from art college more than 20 years later, I may finally find a way to fuse my metal work with print/paperwork?
I am working on 2 exhibition opportunities for you to see them in person in both Dublin and Cork this coming September 2026.
