I want to take a moment to give a huge shout-out to the wonderful stockists who have supported my Jewellery Gift Range over the years, and to share a little of how our paths first crossed.
My very first shop was Forest & Flock in Bantry. I still remember walking into Bernie’s store, jewellery in hand, fresh-faced and slightly sheepish, asking if she would take a look at my work. From that moment on, we’ve been in partnership ever since. Her support meant more to me than she’ll ever know.
I met Loraine and her team at my very first Showcase. At the time, I had no idea who they were — but they instantly got me. They understood my vibe, my thinking, and the story behind my designs. It felt as though they had been right there in my studio with me while I was designing and making the pieces. I knew they were special. When the orders came through, I honestly couldn’t believe my eyes — The National Gallery of Ireland Gift Shop?! Even now, I still pinch myself.
Then there’s Katie from Ardmore Pottery. Their gift shop is set in one of the most beautiful locations, steeped in the story of a family business rooted in Ardmore Bay. I remember sitting there, chatting over a cup of tea, feeling completely at home. Those moments stay with you.
Making the sudden decision to close my Gift Range was not easy. With the rapid increase in silver prices and my growing desire to move creatively towards more gallery-focused pieces, I felt torn. I was nervous — and honestly quite sad — at the thought of “losing” my stockists. But I came to realise that this is a natural part of a business as it grows and evolves.
I don’t know what 2026 will bring, but I truly wish all of my stockists the very best. Running a successful gift shop is becoming harder and harder in Ireland, and keeping everything within budget is a constant challenge. So please, whenever you can, shop local, support Irish artists and craft makers, and the incredible shops that stand behind them.
Thank you — from the bottom of my heart — for being part of my journey.
